An attempt at being productive

I have nothing much to say or post about except that this is my 60th post on this blog and I'm hella slow. I'm done looking at make-up looks for our photoshoot, (a job *someone* butt him/herself into), so now I blog.

Hello world, how are you?

Honestly, I'm not feeling that great. Confusion is a feeling I do not enjoy reveling in. What do I do? Do i bury it in the back of my closet like Carrie's Westwood wonder? Lost in reference? Go out and watch Sex and the City.

Hopefully, this time, human insistence and will will prevail.

I just hope I'm not giving up because I don't really want to.

Or do I?

...

See? Confusion does not suit someone who wears such high heels.

I miss having a life outside work, eRO and sleep. I miss parties and get togethers. Being silly with a bottle of blueberry vodka in one hand and a frantic wave of a "go away!" in the other.

---
I have a beach trip disguised as a family reunion. This may prove a turning point. I'm growing up so I think I should be allowed to venture to fun spots with Petter as company.

Cheers,
Creole

The madness continues

Hello dear readers/friends! I'm actually here in the office, taoiling away with lighter work translating disjointed chinese long finished and gone (I'm actually quite afraid of it resurfacing in the near future). I missed blogging so very much.

Well, as I said, I'm still working until next wednesday when I finally say "Sayonara!" to my iffy laptop, DSL-connection, orange office and funny officemates and finally let my summer start.

Nothing of great significance has happened between my post... well, excpet for this one thing. AdDos no longer exists at least in it's technical sense. We found out much to our (and our faculty's) surprise, our thesis class will define our section for the entire 4th year. So basically, the CFAD office proved itself to be made of suck and boo. Buuut we all have Addos aline in our hearts and we have each other in our far away sections. This just gives us an excuse to get together and drink for often! :D :D

There's also the passing of Isabella Blow, muse and fashionista extrodinaire. Now, I've never heard of her until my favorite fashion bloggers posted about her death and their devastation so I did a bit of research and oh my goodness am I super insipred! I actually feel sad that I haven't been able to actually follow her life and stuff. I wish I've known her longer because that would give me a real proper excuse to mourn such a genius' death.

Her gorgeous collection of hats and her brave and bold fashion picks has actually nudged me to take abolder step in my fashion chorva. And because of her I've actually started reading other bold fashionista blogs like Diane Pernet. More on Blow and her greatness soon in my fashion blog (Mad Mad Fashion).

Well, I will post more soon because I have to get back to work! :D

Lovingly yours,
Miss Creole

P.S. I love Milk Tea!

Ozine, death note, MoA and tofu

There was a generous amount of fun last weekend with birthday/swim parties, conventions, an aborted movie marathon and long walks in my bitch heels. It's like I'm hoarding all the fun just in time for Holy Week where God tells us not to have too much fun, mkay?

Lulz, I still feel odd not having any birthday plans.

###

Last Sunday, was Ozine fest 2007. Got pretty tired of all the Naruto cosplayers and eventually bored with the repetitive Rozen Maiden and Death Note cosplayers (Ryuuk and Remu not included). Gundams and transformers and all sorts of large-scale cosplays are still made of win and cool while chibi Sailormoons are losing its cute factor (at least their costumes were elaborate. So much pearls! So much kira kira!).

I took pictures of some cosplayers but my film roll was dominated by non-cosplaying otaku styles. There were cute outfits, cliche "anime school girl" outfits and the eer present goth. It was a good time to take pictures. This kind is part of my thesis research :D

I got free arts from Patrick, the long lost Berd and the amazing Kuya Wilson Tortosa. Will scan/take pictures as soon as my scanner stops being funky.

###

The following day (monday), I had a meeting with fellow org-officers concerning the Org's scheduled events for the upcoming year. Then Petter and I went home to watch the Death Note movies and read a bit of Yamada. Twas a very good day.

###

Yesterday, I went to the HOOGE Mall of Asia with my long lost high school friends Eunice and Johanna. That was a lot of fun (even with my beautiful feet contraption I call my Fiorucci heels) I watched 300 for the 3rd time. :D One more and I've finally hit my 1,200 mark!! :D

I spotted some glue-on nail jewels at one of the craft shops in MoA. It's only 70 pesos so I believe I shall buy it :D And pale, ballerina pink nail colour. Yis. :3

###

Today is 'hand around, draw, watch a couple of movies, disregard your damn diet and read a book or two' day for Petter and I. Since we're low on funds, I decided we can have lunch here at home, read a comic books, draw, watch movies and just talk. Kinda like the Kada's infamous geek-outs (NEXT WEEK!!!). I'm quite excited.

Today , we'll buy a tub of vanilla ice cream and mix it with a bit of my mum's coffee. Yumm. :3

###

On sunday (april 8th) we can officially start celebrating my birthday xD I' not sure when the La Sallians start their summer so I'll ask around. I want my geek out complete ya knoes.

I missed you lot!!! ♥

Birthday plans

I don't have birthday plans yet. I'll probably just fix up some food and invite friends and classmates over. Nothing fancy :) Maybe I can also have that cook-day on the same day :D

Today was so much fun. I bought a ridiculous Penshoppe cap with a pink pom-pom on top. WTF. Pictures tomorrow, I swear. Read more about my fasyon-days!

What I *plan* on doing this summer:
. Sewing/dressmaking courses in a cheap technical school
. Animation projects (Body Language: LQ Manual)
. Bag-making (I'll be finishing my first bag by tomorrow. I'll be moving on to clutch purses next!)
. Sending out internship CV's like crazy to agencies. Because my professor told me to :D
. Shop. Shop and shopalot.
. Get involved in the garage sale! Sell half of my stuff (that doesn't fit!) so I can get twice as much not-so-new-stuff! (Ukay!!)
. Cook with friends
. Hang with friends
. THESIS RESEARCH
. Photoshoot like whaaaaaaat.
. Write a couple of articles for my mum so I can ear a bit of dough :3 (God help me.)
. Paint
. Sleep and rest

Whew!

###

People are already asking me what I want for my birthday, and so here are my answers:
. A digital camera. (I'm dead serious about this one since I kinda need it for thesis next year and I feel kinda out of place without one. :/ I wanna take pictures tooo!!)

. A Mac (this can be treated as a joke :D)

. A shopping trip and a shopping buddy (whoever is getting me this should accompany me to the shopping destination of my choice. Help me pick out clothes, talk, discuss, eat, bash, love, pictures, memories, adventure! Don't worry, I won't take you to Greenbelt 4 or 6750 but if you insist ba! hahahaha)

. Extra moneys xD xD

. Fashion books!!

Basically, that's what I've come up so far. For the shopping trip thing, it doesn't matter if it's a complete outfit or even a kira-kira ketai strap, what matters is I get to tour you around these places I love because of it's people, food, finds and quirks.

Summmerrrr

Summer's here! Summer's here! :D I can't say much about that except I have possible things lined up that would keep me busy. From thesis research to photoshoot/photobook projects and animation collaborations, my Summer would be hectic but it would be great because I'd be able move in my own terms.

I celebrated Summer as soon as our Professional Ethics teacher released told us that we could leave after the test. Petter and I went to his friend Joel's place so we could watch 300 again. The graphics and visuals never cease to amaze me. The filter and quality (I can pretty much replicate in photoshop) is spectularzz. Gerard Butler is still sexy. Ah yes, I love 600 (300 x the number of times you've seen it :D).

Much like our original plan of eating Persian food after the movie, the three of us headed to a different Persian restaurant, Bherouz so we could try their stuff out. We were dissapointed. The menu was limited but they still hold the title of "Best Ox Brain" (you must try it, it's squite good with rice or with pita bread!). We were so dissapointed in everything (except the ox brain) that we headed to Mister Kabab to have another meal! Hardcoooorrreeeee. Lulz. We ordered the usual Special Celo Kabab and Yogurt shake. Le Yum :9 Then we drove to the nearby McDonalds to have milkshakes. 8D PIGG OUTT!!

###

The following morning (sunday), we had lunch at home with le familia and once again I pigged-out. After that, we went to Bonifacio High Street to have Krispy Kreme, because in the Philippines-- at least with my family-- Krispy Kreme is a family affair. :D After that, I shopped. Luwlz. Read more about it here.
