RO RO RO your boat!

I'm back playing Raganrok Online in Level Up's (relatively) new free to play server, Valkyrie. I have no qualms about the item mall since I'm technically loaded with free cards (from work). I'm currently playing as a female gunslinger Yoko, named after Gurren Lagann's sexy marksman. She's my favorite doom bitch.

I'm finally getting an installer today so I don't have to spend money to play it. I'd like to thanks Kuya from Zapeedoo for keeping the only unit with the valkyrie patch free for my use.

I wanted to be a handgun user, but I'm finding the rifle-macho thing to be very appealing. For me, of course. besides, there are too many handgun gunslingers out there. `_`

###

Today is graduation picture day! I haven't had my face threaded, so I'll just fix my caveman Carine Roitfeld-like eyebrows myself.

I ♥ her!

###
I've also taken a liking in making bento lunches! I'm always terribly late in class so I don't get to take pictures of my lunch. I manged to take this one though!

In bento: 2 large onigiri balls with nori face and details, plain kornets for the onigiri's hair and ears, cucumber and carrot discs, to lower half of the bento consists of fish crackers, cheese, carrot triangles and 1 lime gelatin. At the center, homemade garlic mayonnaise with shredded carrot and lime rind garnish.

What do you think? ♥♥♥

I feel the need to shoot something.

More on this, later on.

My list is pretty long.

25.10.07

It's been a while.

It's been a while since I posted. How are you all doing?

I understand no one goes to this blog anymore, so I'll plug myself shamelessly on YM and during our geekout.

It's sembreak so there's nothing much to report about.

Well, I have good grades this semester. I was fairly surprised since I was really scared on how it would turn out. It seems that our group got the lowest grade in TV Art. I feel guilty since we're graded not by the technical aspects of the film, but the story. I wrote it and it was a very obvious flop. I enjoyed writing it though.

Hmmmm....

I'm back to playing Sims, except this time it's Sims 2. Gyah it's addicting.

That's it I guess. I'll come back tomorrow and report on our geek out :3 I'm really excited!

Little Miss Sunshine

I know it's old but I just finished watching it and I think it's muy wonderful. :D

In other news...

Yesterday, feeling rather down and in need of familiar and all-fun company, I SMSed 3 of the best girls in the world, Asia, Lyan and Ken, and invited them to an early Mister Kabab dinner. Ken can't make it because she's got a gig and the delightful Lyan offered a better option.

"Creole, let's just hang at Manila Pen."

So we did, after meeting up at Asia's condo, waiting for an hour for a cab that isn't allergic to the word Makati and surrendering to good ol' commuting. It was fun and the afternoon reminded me how much I miss them. I'll post the pictures when I get a hold of them.

I feel better, just thinking about it :)

1.8.07

It's about time

It's about fucking time I updated my blog. Hmmm... where do I start?

Well, I'm ever so busy with school now, but my mind can't seem to grasp that fact. Instead of stressing over everything, I'm chill and very very lazy. Heck, I can do a week without work but I can't stand a day without visiting my Pupe.jp page. The thing about pupe is, you don't just post things and get comments as rewards, you get items for your avatar to prettify it. I swear, it's seriously addicting, even if it's in Japanese. If you're interested, don't sign up just yet! Give me your e-mail and I'll send you an invite, so we can automatically be friends and you get 30 ribbons (pupe currency)! Gaaah.

See what I mean? I should be working on a painting (to be submitted tomorrow) but instead I write down on my dusty blog. Oh shame.

My thesis is going slooow. The deadline for chapter 1 is on the 16th and I haven't done an effing thing. The moment I have my data, I'll start working on it like a madman. You know how hard it is to look for the Philippine's current fashion industry? They're usually just in blogs or in forums. Luckily, I already have a couple of interviews lined up for that very reason. I'm so giddy to announce that I'll be interviewing (even though it's only thru e-mail correspondence; she's ever so busy!) Miss Cecile Zamora van Straten the amazing stylist and designer. Egads! I'm such a fan *_* Next, I'll be interviewing our textile design teacher (haha) who also happens to be the owner of Pink and Blue Soda (say whut) awesome. More on this professor in a bit. I'm also trying ot get a hold of CSB's Dean of Fashion for an interview.

I already have my interview questions and the final draft for my survey questions, so hopefully by tomorrow I can start :)

So much to do. So little motivation~~

Our textile design teacher is new. She graduated with honors from UST (same course) and FIT in NYC. She's kinda has it going for her. The thing is, my class thinks her lectures are boring and unecessary (textile properties, prices and all that chorva) and at first I wanted to swat them but now she's just meh. If it wasn't for the fact that she likes me (let me borrow her 9heads book =0) I'd be "BKAHIUHGLKSGADBHSLKD!!" on her ass. Grawr.

She's cool though, always willing to help out the struggling fashion student. Bless her heart.

###

I really sound like a bitch now, yes? Because I'm quite unhappy. Ate some bad food and I feel like throwing up after every nibble (bulemia? semi-yay?!). No more sisig for me! Also, MY ISSUES ARE COMING BACK PLZ. I'm hatin' on myself. Shit.

Muchos loves to one and all!

Lady Snowflake aka Ruth Creole

You know what's funny? Visiting your old fanfiction.net account and reading your old fan fiction. I read one story and anticipated a rush of embarrassment but I was surprised at how 'OK' I was. I didn't care if I was a good writer, I just did it. Fan fiction then, was my escape. I created loads of worlds that stretched my knowledge of a particular fandom to the limit so I can justify everything I brought about. It was fantastic! I could make my favorite characters dance in my head and, no matter how silly or out of character it was, I enjoyed myself immensely.

Now, whenever I write (fan fiction or some other written form) I have this little monster in my head that pressures me to be good at it. I'm not bad, I'm just all over the place.

Another surprise greeted me. A rather recent review for that one fic. It was dated 2006-07-14 even though it was last updated on 05-22-02. AMAZING.

I wanna get back into writing fics!

Bebii returns

And so do I.

I got reacquainted with my fairly empty Starbucks planner, Bebii, after receiving our calendar of deadlines for thesis. Since I haven't updated for quite a while, let me fill you in.

I'm taking Fashion as my thesis with casual wear focusing on coats and jackets as my subject. Subject details and other such chorva to follow.

If only we had started sooner, the August 16 for the chapter 1 deadline wouldn't be such a B. A bother. Hahah

###
I watch Transformers on the first day, last full show. In that scene where Optimus Prime rips off the roof of the Sector 7 car and Shia LeBouf (my crush) introduces them to the mcAwesome Prime, I had a "Oh gosh, it's my childhood dream!" To be able to have super awesome friends who have your back that instill fear and awe to the hearts of many. I'm pathetic, I know. hahah

I was always bullied as a child because I was 'too sensitive' to their taunts. I was a kid, of course I was sensitive. I'll cry and punch them with my puny white hands (and that's why I learned to punch hard). That's why I'm such a bitch, I'm just defensive. I get hurt easily.

Anyway, back to the Prime Minister of power and awesome, Optimus Prime. If I had a friend like that, made of power and awesome, I'd be untouchable. It would be awesome. Plus, I've always wanted to say that line. "Mr McMeany Pants, meet Mr. McAwesome Kick Ass." There is much victory and raised fists at that sentence.

Please, do not be alarmed. This is still Creole and not her imaginary little sister.

I'm stuck with my old playlist so I need new music.

My Playlist of choice

1. Stranger - Hilary Duff
2. Signal Fire - Snow Patrol
3. Flathead - Fratellis
4. A chuck full of Sarah McLachan
5. This ain't a scene, it's a damn arms race - Fall Out Boy
6. Thanks for the memories- FOB
7. Teenager - My Chemical Romanance

I haven't given this playlist thing much thought though...

Skippy

I've been pretty responsible lately. And I make myself proud.

I've read Anthony Bourdain's laugh-out-loud book 'A Cook's Tour' and now I'm reading the starting pages of Nigel Slater's 'Toast'. I'm discovering my blatant foodieness and I fear (and secretly hope) that I'll end up something like my sister, Marishka, who is in advertising and is an utter foodie. She loves to cook and I love to cook. I'll be hosting my second cooking party (details about the first one in a bit) and I've been craving for things I don't normally crave for. Isaw, grilled livestock (usually pork or chicken) intestine, is great when it's there and when I have my classmates around me seeking a short break from the oil paints and dangerously addictive thinner fumes, but to atcually go to the talipapa, wet market, just for me if quite odd. I even seared them for a bit to make the gumminess just a tad crisp and ate them with chopsticks. I know, what the fuck right?

It's Bourdain's fault!!

###

Last monday, a day before classes started (the usual mass and orientation for the freshies) I conducted a cooking party in hopes of celebrating, for the last time, our summer as students. I e-mailed my class that weekend (because getting permission to go to a dinner party is better than getting permission to batangas) and presented them with this menu:

Appetizers:
Fresh pita pizza points

Main Course:
Inihaw na liempo with mango salsa
Mashed Veg
Herbed and Garlic Rice

Dessert:
Pacenciawich (Pacencia cookies with sweet cream and fruit)
Espresso n' Cream (Vanilla Ice Cream with Brewed Coffee)

Brewed Coffee

The food was good (though some of them didn't turn up as planned) the atmosphere frantic, hot, crazy but incredibly fun and rewarding. I'm quite glad only a handful were able to make it, because the setting is more intimate. There were no private conversations at one edge of the table and no one was left out. I am super duper glad that everyone had fun and are raring for a second round! :D

HOSHIT! I have to prepare a menu!

This is gonna be fun!!

###

So far, so good. I just need faith in my life and I'm set. :) :)

###

Also, I would also like to thank Petter for being absolutely awesome ;D ;D

Lovingly yours,
Creole

P.S.
School has started and Addos always seem to meet up after every class. ILOVEIT!

The madness continues

Hello dear readers/friends! I'm actually here in the office, taoiling away with lighter work translating disjointed chinese long finished and gone (I'm actually quite afraid of it resurfacing in the near future). I missed blogging so very much.

Well, as I said, I'm still working until next wednesday when I finally say "Sayonara!" to my iffy laptop, DSL-connection, orange office and funny officemates and finally let my summer start.

Nothing of great significance has happened between my post... well, excpet for this one thing. AdDos no longer exists at least in it's technical sense. We found out much to our (and our faculty's) surprise, our thesis class will define our section for the entire 4th year. So basically, the CFAD office proved itself to be made of suck and boo. Buuut we all have Addos aline in our hearts and we have each other in our far away sections. This just gives us an excuse to get together and drink for often! :D :D

There's also the passing of Isabella Blow, muse and fashionista extrodinaire. Now, I've never heard of her until my favorite fashion bloggers posted about her death and their devastation so I did a bit of research and oh my goodness am I super insipred! I actually feel sad that I haven't been able to actually follow her life and stuff. I wish I've known her longer because that would give me a real proper excuse to mourn such a genius' death.

Her gorgeous collection of hats and her brave and bold fashion picks has actually nudged me to take abolder step in my fashion chorva. And because of her I've actually started reading other bold fashionista blogs like Diane Pernet. More on Blow and her greatness soon in my fashion blog (Mad Mad Fashion).

Well, I will post more soon because I have to get back to work! :D

Lovingly yours,
Miss Creole

P.S. I love Milk Tea!

Yesterday was my dad's Deathday anniversary. It's been 13 years since he's died and we really really miss him. When I remember him my eyes well up and I feel drained. I guess I haven't really paid much attention to him for so long. I really miss my dad.

I didn't have enough money to buy flowers for him yesterday so I'm counting our Monday get together will be a blast. I'm sure it will because everyone is going to be there!

I'm inviting dragging Petter so Leslie can start calling him a winner xD I love it.

###

On better news. Sagar and Marishka are back together! I love this news so much and I'm so happy for the both of them!

###

Wow, this post is really a rollercoaster of emotions.

###

I'm typing happily away in the office because there's no one around. The PD people are somewhere having a meeting and the quietness makes me think better and be more productive.

###

I really miss him too (even though wre just saw each other the other day). The past few days were so draining and all I need a good non-relative hug. Yeah.

I'm also hankering for some serious Kabab pigging out. Mmmm Keema with eggplant.

###

For the first time ina very long time, I am very much broke. I can't even buy a bottle of C2 without thinking hard about it. Seriously!

###

I promise pictures soon. :)

P.S. Does anyone know a good diet pill? One that doesn't have severe side effects like cardiac arrests, an extra head or vagina failure? I really want to loose weight. For reals.

Juggle

It's been knockin' on my noggin for a while that balancing your life is a damn hard thing to do.

I mean, sure, you can do it in The Sims and Kudos' effortlessly, but they don't have carry-home work and cut-throat deadlines to accomplish. I cannot focus on something and take care of something else at the same time. Like, I can't focus on my studies/work if I have to take care of my dying social life. I have to "take care" of things one at a time which sucks.

I'm guilty of letting a couple of friendships rot because my attention is somewhere else. Oh poop.

In lighter news, we have cable now! *air guitar*

Work desu.

Wow... it's been a long time since I posted and I kind of feel guilty about abandoning this blog of mine.

Well... where do I start? I'm currently working level up games as a game dialouge editor. Pay is ok and the people are fun so it's pretty ok.

I watched Spiderman 3 (me and the rest of the Philippines) and it's ok while Pan's Labyrinth is made of GREAT.

I saw the HP: OotP trailer and I believe I just experienced a very powerful moviegasm. I'm so excited!!

I can't really post in complete and proper sentences because I've been typing froufrou sentences for the past 8 hours. Grah.

I miss blogging ;_;

Bunny

You know what I want? A bunny. Yes, a fucking bunny. I could easily purchase one in the pet store (cage, food and toys) but my mum would throw a hysteric fit that would probably go something like:

"Another pet?? AGAIN? What did I tell you about bringing pets home? He'd probably end up as the dog's dinner or your neurotic cat's toy!"

Not so screamy, but it'll be cold and just. I can't take care of my pets :/ It didn't help that khan showed me this. Hersheey.

Last Sunday I went to cover the Tour of the Fireflies. But I ended up covering a cat-show instead.

ASL? // 19 f QC

It would be a shame if I didn't write about my 19th birthday :) It was pretty simple and fun.

My day started off with breakfast in Pancake House with my mum and my grandmum. I had pancakes and tacos because I figured I'd need the energy for the day of shopping ahead! After a lovely breakfast, my mum and I went straight to divisoria, I thought we were rather early as I heard 168 opens at around 10:00 am (we were there at 9:30 am), but lo and behold we saw it open and not so brimming with people yet! So we went inside, got lost for a bit and decided to search the top (more expensive) floor first.

There were less people, which was great. There were actual stores, which were not-so-great since they tend to be more expensive than their tiny, more claustrophobic, lower floor counterparts. Anyway, so we looked around and I spotted cheap thick tights for 100 pesos. So I bought them in my current favorite color, gray. So we looked around again, mum bought 2 pairs of colorful mod watches for her and for my aunt. We also found light gray (looks like worn-in black) skinny jeans that are slouchy and comfy and that came in my size. Lovely-lovely. Of course I bought it, it was only 650 pesos! It's so hard to find a good pair of skinny jeans that come in a good price and still permit your blood to circulate in your legs.

We went to the lower floors and chaos started. People were everywhere! Well, not really. It was an ok crowd for me (and for 168) but it was a tad too much for my mum (who hates crowds and has claustrophobia) so we got my last 168 purchase for the day: cellphone stickers! We then headed to Wai Ying and had a heavy lunch!

We went home, but not before stopping by 7-11 to buy my new Preview. YAY!

We rested at home and I got to talk to Joanna again which is great because I missed her so :)

Mum and I had dinner in Shangri-La Makati's Circle Events Cafe. I love it there, the buffet is great and the food is made of yum and pretty. For 1324 pesos, its definately worth it. I plan on eating there again someday ;P

To everyone who greeted me a Happy Birthday, thank you THANK YOU. You are all too sweet. :D

I love you all! :D

Ozine, death note, MoA and tofu

There was a generous amount of fun last weekend with birthday/swim parties, conventions, an aborted movie marathon and long walks in my bitch heels. It's like I'm hoarding all the fun just in time for Holy Week where God tells us not to have too much fun, mkay?

Lulz, I still feel odd not having any birthday plans.

###

Last Sunday, was Ozine fest 2007. Got pretty tired of all the Naruto cosplayers and eventually bored with the repetitive Rozen Maiden and Death Note cosplayers (Ryuuk and Remu not included). Gundams and transformers and all sorts of large-scale cosplays are still made of win and cool while chibi Sailormoons are losing its cute factor (at least their costumes were elaborate. So much pearls! So much kira kira!).

I took pictures of some cosplayers but my film roll was dominated by non-cosplaying otaku styles. There were cute outfits, cliche "anime school girl" outfits and the eer present goth. It was a good time to take pictures. This kind is part of my thesis research :D

I got free arts from Patrick, the long lost Berd and the amazing Kuya Wilson Tortosa. Will scan/take pictures as soon as my scanner stops being funky.

###

The following day (monday), I had a meeting with fellow org-officers concerning the Org's scheduled events for the upcoming year. Then Petter and I went home to watch the Death Note movies and read a bit of Yamada. Twas a very good day.

###

Yesterday, I went to the HOOGE Mall of Asia with my long lost high school friends Eunice and Johanna. That was a lot of fun (even with my beautiful feet contraption I call my Fiorucci heels) I watched 300 for the 3rd time. :D One more and I've finally hit my 1,200 mark!! :D

I spotted some glue-on nail jewels at one of the craft shops in MoA. It's only 70 pesos so I believe I shall buy it :D And pale, ballerina pink nail colour. Yis. :3

###

Today is 'hand around, draw, watch a couple of movies, disregard your damn diet and read a book or two' day for Petter and I. Since we're low on funds, I decided we can have lunch here at home, read a comic books, draw, watch movies and just talk. Kinda like the Kada's infamous geek-outs (NEXT WEEK!!!). I'm quite excited.

Today , we'll buy a tub of vanilla ice cream and mix it with a bit of my mum's coffee. Yumm. :3

###

On sunday (april 8th) we can officially start celebrating my birthday xD I' not sure when the La Sallians start their summer so I'll ask around. I want my geek out complete ya knoes.

I missed you lot!!! ♥

Last Saturday: Birthday

Last Saturday the family celebrated 7 birthdays. We celebrated at the upper penthouse of Marishka's building and there were lots of food and kids and cameras and fun. Petter was suddenly thrust into the David-family world. I believe he enjoyed himself :)

*end post* :D

Curious Incident

I finally finished The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. I know it's a relatively thin book and it's not hard to read (unlike The Hobbit or Death Kit by Susan Sontag) but I never really got into it. I always thought it was sweet and smart to write as an autistic boy and the story was just as amusing but, well, I never got into it. Until yesterday! I recommend this read. Everything is sweet and smart, red cars and A-math level calculations all in all. :)

I'm now re-reading Harry Potter and the Half-Bloood Prince by JK Rowling as a 'refresher' course for the 7th book.

By the way, they've released the new covers and they're lovely. I. CAN'T. WAIT.

27.3.07

Birthday plans

I don't have birthday plans yet. I'll probably just fix up some food and invite friends and classmates over. Nothing fancy :) Maybe I can also have that cook-day on the same day :D

Today was so much fun. I bought a ridiculous Penshoppe cap with a pink pom-pom on top. WTF. Pictures tomorrow, I swear. Read more about my fasyon-days!

What I *plan* on doing this summer:
. Sewing/dressmaking courses in a cheap technical school
. Animation projects (Body Language: LQ Manual)
. Bag-making (I'll be finishing my first bag by tomorrow. I'll be moving on to clutch purses next!)
. Sending out internship CV's like crazy to agencies. Because my professor told me to :D
. Shop. Shop and shopalot.
. Get involved in the garage sale! Sell half of my stuff (that doesn't fit!) so I can get twice as much not-so-new-stuff! (Ukay!!)
. Cook with friends
. Hang with friends
. THESIS RESEARCH
. Photoshoot like whaaaaaaat.
. Write a couple of articles for my mum so I can ear a bit of dough :3 (God help me.)
. Paint
. Sleep and rest

Whew!

###

People are already asking me what I want for my birthday, and so here are my answers:
. A digital camera. (I'm dead serious about this one since I kinda need it for thesis next year and I feel kinda out of place without one. :/ I wanna take pictures tooo!!)

. A Mac (this can be treated as a joke :D)

. A shopping trip and a shopping buddy (whoever is getting me this should accompany me to the shopping destination of my choice. Help me pick out clothes, talk, discuss, eat, bash, love, pictures, memories, adventure! Don't worry, I won't take you to Greenbelt 4 or 6750 but if you insist ba! hahahaha)

. Extra moneys xD xD

. Fashion books!!

Basically, that's what I've come up so far. For the shopping trip thing, it doesn't matter if it's a complete outfit or even a kira-kira ketai strap, what matters is I get to tour you around these places I love because of it's people, food, finds and quirks.

25.3.07

Summmerrrr

Summer's here! Summer's here! :D I can't say much about that except I have possible things lined up that would keep me busy. From thesis research to photoshoot/photobook projects and animation collaborations, my Summer would be hectic but it would be great because I'd be able move in my own terms.

I celebrated Summer as soon as our Professional Ethics teacher released told us that we could leave after the test. Petter and I went to his friend Joel's place so we could watch 300 again. The graphics and visuals never cease to amaze me. The filter and quality (I can pretty much replicate in photoshop) is spectularzz. Gerard Butler is still sexy. Ah yes, I love 600 (300 x the number of times you've seen it :D).

Much like our original plan of eating Persian food after the movie, the three of us headed to a different Persian restaurant, Bherouz so we could try their stuff out. We were dissapointed. The menu was limited but they still hold the title of "Best Ox Brain" (you must try it, it's squite good with rice or with pita bread!). We were so dissapointed in everything (except the ox brain) that we headed to Mister Kabab to have another meal! Hardcoooorrreeeee. Lulz. We ordered the usual Special Celo Kabab and Yogurt shake. Le Yum :9 Then we drove to the nearby McDonalds to have milkshakes. 8D PIGG OUTT!!

###

The following morning (sunday), we had lunch at home with le familia and once again I pigged-out. After that, we went to Bonifacio High Street to have Krispy Kreme, because in the Philippines-- at least with my family-- Krispy Kreme is a family affair. :D After that, I shopped. Luwlz. Read more about it here.

Up and Down

Did you know it's a bitch trying to animate someone going up a flight of stairs (regular perspective, mind)? It is!

I want to re-do this thing because I want to redesign it. But submission is tomorrow and a grade of INC (which is kind of acceptable) is a no-no because my professor might leave next year. OHNOWHATDOIDONOW???

I only have around 5 seconds and I have to do a minute. Shet.

I love my poster though. I love photo references. They save academic lives.

Oh I wish I could write

I was never much of a writer but I did write a story or two (personal stories. Essays and other required shizats are not counted). There are moments where I believe I was a god with words. I expressed love and angst with so much power some of my dear anonymous readers (I used to post avidly in ff.net) would gush and scream MORE!. But most of the time, I spew crap much like this.

Oh I wish I was blessed with the gift to transform words into brain pictures.

Maybe I should start writing again. Fiction. About love and heartache and kisses inside dingy bars. Because I'm still a teenager and I would like to write about how dramatic my pseudo-life would be. Or maybe I should just write.

I always feel the need to be wonderful at something. Especially writing and the arts since I'm in art school and my mum is an excellent writer.

I should also start writing in complete sentences and with proper grammar.

Workaholic?

Khan tells me I'm a workaholic. Is this true?

I got this from jenvg@LJ

Jenna Genio is my girl-crush. I got this from her blog:

So, say you were meeting a new person--blind date, new friend, who knows. And you wanted them to have some idea of what kind of person you are, and who you are. But you can't actually tell them in so many words. Instead, you have to give them a box, with a dozen things in it for them to look at/read/listen to/taste/whatever. What would you put in the box? And a copy of your journal or a link to your LJ would be the same thing as just telling them directly, yourself, so that's not allowed.

1) Black opaque tights

2) red and silver-lined flats

3) gray and white stripe shirt and my boyfriend jean

4) Preview magazine collection

5) a playlist that includes: Fat Boy Slim, Nine Inch Nails, Utada Hikaru, Gackt, Portishead, B52's, Eraserheads and "I will follow you into the dark" by deathcab for cutie.

6) rings and my understated borloloy: rosary ring and my plastic rings

7) my fashion and costume design sketchpad

8) a list of blogs I go to: Chuvaness, Style Bubble, Perez Hilton and The Superficial.

9) Sin City (everything) and my precious Kingdom Come by Alex Ross

10) a copy of The Cheese Monkeys by Chipp Kidd and June and Juliet by William Gough

11) my stickered Mookie (mp3 player) and studded Billy (mobile)

12) My "Havanas" and a picture of morayta and the morayta overpass.

13) that famous kitchen knife

I'm not sure if it describes me, but I want him/her/it to see those things. I don't know :\ now, to buy some cake! :D

2nd

Whoa. What? We're going to present on the second day (competition day) so we have a week to fix our shitty paper and get our act together. YES!

I'm planning on fixing the ads Monday evening together with our adprod project. It's going to be quick naman eh.

Petter and I saw 300 the other day. Holy shit, I wanna watch it again. Though there is something lacking about it, I can still honestly it's brilliant. I love the end credits. :D :D

Work work work. SO much work, so little time.

I'm glad I have a little David Sedaris to keep me company. Naked (by David Sedaris) promises good laughs.

Ta~ Off to buy some cake

300

It was a heartbreaking morning. I don't want to talk about it because you might think I'm overreacting but I'm not. Le sigh. So I turn to Gustav and the sexy 300 trailer to chase the blues (and stress) away -- even if it's temporary :)

2.3.07

Tadpole feet

I'm cramming my adprac media plan assignment which isn't very smart, but at least the time pressure makes me think better. If my environment is lax, my brain is lax. I have bad work ethics. Boooo.

###

Advan shoes are awesome. Sure, your feet resemble tadpoles when you wear a pair, but they're awweeesooome. In a sea of Nikes, Adidas and Chucks, you standout with your tadpole feet. Tadfeet. And they're dirt cheap too. I believe a pair of lace ups are 150 pesos and the Vans-type are 200 or something? Basta, they're cheap. I'll buy a pair someday and paint on them.

So it's sad when this personal pinoy pop-icon (it reminds me of PE days in STC --ew--) doesn't even have information available on the web. Another advan shoe pops up and it's from Japan. I want my canvas tadfeet shoes!

###

I saw the trailer for 300 today. Oh gosh, I almost wet myself. I plan on breaking doors and other forms of public property after watching it next week :3 We also plan on eating in Mister Kabab after because it's Persian food. If we see the owner of the said establishment, we'll restrain ourselves from kicking him in the guts and into the vat of white garlic sauce. :D :D

Soooo excited!

###

I'm doing my media plan now to JT's FutureSex.LoveSounds and I can't think!! D: D;

Gackt!

I'm listening to him. It's such a break from my emo-romantic-funk songs my ears have been drowning in.

---

All you need to know about the fashion show: It was a success!

---

I'm going to have my (Iris') camera fixed because I want to really try my hand at photography. I was kind of disappointed when my shots came out ho-humish during Photo 1 class since I felt as if I've let the memory of my dad down, but now, I'm going to really try it. The light meter is wonky and I need t have it cleaned.

I'm also re-learning how to draw this summer (or before classes are over) and how to water color. I'm going to get tube watercolors. Yupp.

---

I want to shop.

:(

I'm extremely disappointed. Extremely so.

I know it's all worth it at the end but sometimes when everyone just kind of puts it down, you get dragged along with it.

I wish it was the fashion show. Honestly. The sponsors can just GTFO of my life.

Saw this over at Susie Bubble and I think it's hot. I need to pay someone to download this for me. I am ever so curious.

My mum left for Baguio early this morning leaving me, sick, weak and quite unfabulous and icky, under the watchful eye of my two sisters and our helpers, Ate Merly and Marilyn. I'm such a spoiled brat, especially when I'm sick.

In my defense, it's been a terrible time for me. I couldn't talk, walk or move without pain. The sheets (and anything else for that matter) felt like sandpaper against my skin.

I dislike fake foods now. Anything with a dash, hint, pinch or even a granule of Ajinomoto or MSG makes me sicker than before. I tried eating sauteed veggies (no rice because it's too heavy) for lunch yesterday but only got 2 bites because I could fucking bite into the beef cubes they used to flavor it.

"Ma, they used vestin. I know they did."
"Oh dear, it must be the beef cubes."

I feel so helpless and poor. LOL LOL

###

Anyway, so my sisters are watching over me for the weekend while my mum is away in Baguio for work. They come in shifts which is amusing and terribly sweet at the same time. My motherly and middle sister Happy will be coming over this morning to watch over me. She'll most probably lecture me on why I'm sick: fatigue, lack of nutrients and stress.

Later is afternoon/evening, my older, ATM-like and easily-bored-without-cable sister Marishka will spend the weekend here. She will probably complain about the lack of cable, ask the maids for ginisang corned beef and tell me to shut up and stay put while I attempt to make her take me to the mall and get a haircut (more on that later). She will later bribe me with a box of Yellow Cab pizza so she can snore sleep in peace.

Expect a post containing a series "BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH"s if any of these events happen.

###

On to the haircut!

I'm thinking of restyling myhair back into it's original sleek bob ala Posh but that hairstyle gets old fast. I really want an androgynous haircut like Agyness Deyn, post-Jude Sienna Miller and post-chuva chuchu Jolina. Pero I think I'll be needing some serious cheekbones for it. Hmmm..

Bagay kaya?

Also, I read one of the funnier threads I've seen in 4chan in a long while. I love it. Or maybe because I'm such a big Billy and Mandy nut.

Near death experience

I'm too tired to write a long long post so here's what happened. (Such a shame really, because there's a ton of stuff that I really want to tell you guy but... *le sigh*)

- Went to the MV Doulos ship today to check out the floating bookstore. The line was L-O-N-G. We were about midway when one of the crew members announced that the line streched as far as the Manila Hotel. Yikes! It was fun but very crammed. There weren't a lot of choices since most of them are Christian and children's books but it was nice to learn about Doulos and the amazing multi-national crew. Volunteers! It was great. Learn more here.

- Had dinner at Harbor View. Ate a gazillion things and now I feel like I weigh a gazillion tons. It's a near-death experience. Parang hindi na mauubos yung pagkain.

-Went home and released Chanel in the house. Watch the mad kitty go.

Also, the real reason why I posted because I want you lot to read this article I bumped into while googling everything that entered my head: How to kiss a woman by Lynn Snowden

Much loves to all. I'm off to divisoria tomorrow to score some booty fabrics and sewers.

This day should be over

I had a surprisingly good day yesterday, even though it was sprinkled with unwanted flubs and overspending (I'm seriously running low on funds).

My Life Painting plate didn't suck so much (I got an 86 for 3 hours of crammed and crabby work!) and even though I flubbed (read: lost my balance for a nano-second) during the model screening, I passed it with my other model Jam (Muchos thanks to Johan and Asia!!). Sadly, my model of uber-choice, Karla (read: CFAD twin), didn't make the cut.

Some stupid fashion director of some agency asked her if she was willing to loose weight. What? I wanted my model to be curvy! As much as possible, I wanted them to be not stick thin! Not stick thin!! But to save the drama and wasted time, I decided to get the other model Asia got me.

So I have two semi-professional models and a cousin (Maui! ♥) under my management. I'll pay for all of their expenses and then some (regular trips to Starbucks so that they can have a good working relationship. Ha ha.). Oh, and me.

Hello? Do I see another Starbucks planner soon?? I hope not!

Speaking of which, I named my Starbucks planner Bebii.

Bebii is currently full of fashion show stressing, late Animation requirements, bugging of the sponsor-like sort and Pep Squad meetings. I never thought I had such a packed schedule!! I guess my need to fill up Bebii with the things I have to do contributes to me being so stressed and mataray. I don't want to see my Bebii go to waste, kasi naman sayang yung coffee and the permanent dent on my wallet and nervous system.

So much work! Pep Squad pa. I've been transfered from the Booster (taga-sigaw) department to the Drummer (taga-tambol) department. I'm not eve sure if I'm a bass or a snare drummer. God, I don't even know if I have what it takes. Bahala na.

###

By the by, I created a fashion blog for my designs, fashion show schedule, details and my fashion-related opinions. It's still a work in progress.

Drop me a line! Show me that you love me!

HOW IS MY DRING?

Excuse me, your what?

How is my dring?

Luwlz. I saw this the other day painted at the back of a white cab on my way to school. As many of you know (to the Filipinos who read this, at least) that every PUV (public utility vehichle) is required to have that at the rear end of their cars (together with the LTO hotline which isn't a hotline at all.). It's funny how the painter/writer/what do you call them exactly? missed a "V" and an "I". Ohoh. I just think it's amusing.

###

Hectic hectic hectic! School's been hectic! Crazy! The fashion show is closer than we anticipated and there's some serious inner-group issues (nothing to be concerned of, of course, we can handle it.). I submitted my designs and had 2 approved and 2 "to be improved".

Which means I have to re-do my designs. Luwlz. I'm not happy with them.

The fashion show brings forth a whole bunch of issues.

he design, how is it related to the Sidewalk theme?

Excecution, will you make it in time? Will your sewers actually listen to you instead of going ahead and making this original-cut dress into a Manang's bestida?

Fabric, will this actually look good with this other type? Is is too thin? Stretchy? Light against this quilted linen?

Models. Will you find 4 in time? If you do, can they walk? Are they even tall enough? Will they listen or will they pull some serious Morgan and bitch out because they have "model" to put under their name?

Money. Simple. Do you have enough?

All these questions run through my messy head every time someone mentions fashion. It's fucking crazy I think I'm going to collapse!

But not.

Last fashion class I suffered a mild anxiety-attack. I started to palpitate, my head starts spinning and breathing is a chore. It seems like I'm pressured and expected to do an amazing job because for the past 2 1/2 years I'm in college I've ranted non-stop about fashion design. HARGH. At least I'm chillax now. I'm tryng to contact models and by models I mean friends who are interested.

If you are SMS me (o9158330136)! If you're 5"3 (w/ or w/o heels) you'd be awesome!

###

And oh yeah, I suck at Package Design. Seriously.

###

I also got my Starbucks planner! Marishka was mildy surprised to see me with one.

"May nagbebenta ba sa inyo nyan?"
"Wala."
"... So inipon mo lahat ng stickers for one?"
"Yup."
"Lupet mo babe, so wala ka nang pera?"
"Wala na."

Lol lol lol.

Chasing down every temporary high

Happy new year! I mentioned in my last post that I feel really really optimistic about 2007 and I still do. In fact, I'm so glad that a whole bunch of people I know love 2007 (according to a loval paper 91% of Filipinos feel good about 2007) because the positive energy (despite the killer requirements) is awesome.

Pero... (But...)

BAKIT ANG PANGET PANGET NG INTERNET NGAYON??

Why is the internet so ugly??

This whole "internet hates the Philippines srsly" is really annoying. It doesn't affect my 2007 but it's just really annoying! Hayanobayan!

###

I'm in serious Stacie Orrico mode now (even though I'm only listening to 2 of her songs ): More to Life, which reminds me of the little green muggle bus (our ride during high school) and requirements limited to bond papers (no canvases, no presentations and ad campaigns!) and I'm Not Missing You because I really missed her face. Luwlz.

Gosh she's gorgeous. She's like Ashlee Simpson (my not-so-secret-shame) pre-nose job and pre-hyperlevel-trendwhorism (because she was a trendwhore when she started). Gosh Stacie, your voice is so "Yeah beb."

###

I'm currently filled with Starbucks' Toffee Nut latte (Thank God it's back!). It's bloody delicious, definately first choice among the three holiday drinks. Gingerbread is ok, a lot of people hate it because it's so strong and bizarre. Ikindalikeit. :3 Peppermint Mocha is totally out of the question. I HATE IT. Gross. It's mocha with a kiss of fucking TOOTHPASTE.
Uhm ew.

I drink because I want to help SparkHope. Helping kids is awesome shit. The planner is a selfless gift. Bwahahahah.

Dear 2007,

Keep it up! You're doing so damn well!
